This holiday season, from my family to yours enjoy this simple and classic Hatfield Puerto Rican pineapple clove ham for dinner!

    Hatfield Puerto Rican Ham

Growing up here in Pennsylvania, Hatfield ham has been our only choice for our holiday ham. The main factory was less than an hour away, and many parents of local friends worked their. Hatfield will forever be a part of my memories, and for good reasons. They treat their employees like family, and Hatfield itself is a family owned and American made company! Their ham is delicious, gluten free, and comes in a variety of sizes, cuts, and preparations.

Let's talk sizing really quick! I have a large family of 7, without family or friends joining us, and I always go for the bigger Hatfield ham, which is their Hatfield® 3lb. Classic Boneless Ham and there is always more to go around. I love that if we have an intimate holiday dinner with just the 7 of us, there is PLENTY of ham leftover to make something like my Cuban Sliders Recipe.

Another thing I love about Hatfield is that they now offer more sizes. Occasionally, we get to have a break from all five kids when the grandparents take them so hubby and I can have a break. On these nights, instead of going out, we just want to enjoy the comfort of home with a cozy dinner for two, and around the holidays, we love to choose from Hatfield's NEW, smaller sized ham products available in ½ Pre-Sliced Pit Ham, ¼ Pre-Sliced Ham (With Natural Juices or With Water Added) sizes.

Here are some more awesome options for Hatfield's ham selection:

    • Hatfield® ½ Pre-Sliced Pit Ham
    • Hatfield® ¼ Pre-Sliced Ham (With Natural Juices)
    • Hatfield® ¼ Pre-Sliced Ham (With Water Added)
    • Hatfield® Uncured Ham

Growing up, pork has always been a staple in our household. Choosing a brand that not only delivers on flavor, cost, quality, and convenience, but that also makes certain their product is ethically raised has always been important in our household. Thankfully, with Hatfield we have all of those boxes check off.

I bought my Hatfield Ham at Giant, but most retailers carry it.

Now back to the recipe. 😉 I'm sharing with you my mom's Hatfield Puerto Rican Inspired Pineapple Ham recipe. She made this every Christmas without fail. I choose to use a slow cooker for convenience and ease. The beauty of this Uncured Ham is that it is precooked, so essentially you just need to heat it through.

How To Make Hatfield Puerto Rican Pineapple Ham Recipe

Naturally, it starts with this yummy ham. 2 pounds, boneless, fully cooked... no nitrates added... all natural... come on, it doesn't get any better than this.

Next,  grab your slow cooker, dump in crushed pineapples, 2 cinnamon sticks, ¼ cup of brown sugar and for the secret ingredient (psst... don't tell anyone) ham bullion seasoning.

Next, you're going to unwrap your Hatfield Uncured Ham and poke it with about 16 whole cloves. Just pierce the sharp side in. Then lightly sprinkle salt over it.

Add the ham over the crushed pineapples, and close the lid! Voila! Cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2-3. I promise, this recipe is delicious!

I like to drizzle raw honey over my ham when I serve it. Ham is great with a side of mashed potatoes or even some arroz con gandules (rice with pigeon peas).

That's it mi gente, I hope you enjoy this recipe, and be sure to check out Hatfield's website and be sure to grab the Ibotta link for some cool savings!
