Ingredients

bone-in pork chops
2
teaspoons
of adobo
1
teaspoon
of garlic powder
2
teaspoon
of oregano
½
teaspoon
of tumeric
a pinch of salt
or as desired
a pinch of pepper
1
medium onion
sliced
1
red pepper
sliced

oz
of tomato sauce
2
tablespoons
of sofrito
optional
2
teaspoons
of sugar
2-3
tablespoons
of oil
4-6
tablespoons
of vegetable stock or water
Instructions
Season pork with salt and pepper.
In a large pan, heat oil over medium high. When oil is hot, add in sugar and gently stir for a few seconds, add in pork chops and brown on both sides.
Remove pork chops and lower heat to medium.
Add in onion, peppers, sofrito and tomato sauce. Sautee for a few minutes until softened.
Return pork chops and any juice on plate to the pan and remaining ingredients. Cover and cook for 15-20 minutes, lowering heat if necessary.
